The Testimony of John Divall aged twenty/ eight or there abouts./ / Witnesseth that he being att Goodman Shaws house/ upon the 5th of October in the year of our lord/ 1663 When Mr Phillips went downe to the Barn/ with his catle Capt: Denison coming to the house/ a little before Mr Phillips he the said Divall/ perceiving that the Capt: was transported/ above what he had formerly seen him in/ somuch that he thought he had been/ drinking and he continued in that frame/ of spirit till within Night {Goodman/ Gallop} Mr Mr Richardson & Thomas Parkis/ came to the house and Goodman Gallop/ being in the house then fell into some discourse/ but about what he doth not well remember/ but Goodman Gallop Brook out into verry/ high words and railing speeches against his/ Mother Lake and Mr Richardson where upon/ Mr Richardson Hastened his journy towards/ the bay and he being gone the afors[ai]d/ John Divall Asked the afores[ai]d Capt:/ what was the matter his Spirit was/ so much transported, who Answered/ that he had met with so many abr{illegible}/ speeches as he came along from the/ Cheesibrookes that he was able to/ beare it and after some other discourse/ we addrest our selves to bed and sitting by/ the fire undressing Capt: Dennison and/ Goodman Gallop fell into discourse about/ the abuses of the afores[ai]d Gallops dog/
