paneled
windows
on the
front
. The
fireplaces
are
original
,
one
with
richly
moulded
overmantel
,
flanked
with
fluted
pilasters
and
rosettes
; the
smaller
,
back
fireplace
is
plain
. The
larger
has a
curious
offset
, and
arched
opening
,
apparently
original
. The
mantel
came
from the
burned
Williams
House
,
(c.1780)
on
Ridge
Road
,
New
Haven
.

Room

is
original
except
for
insertion
of
18th
century
corner
cupboard
and
maple
flooring
from
Winsted
.
Wide

plain
fireplace
with
brick
oven
and
wood
