Tl, e L or cl is in His Holy
Temple; let a U the earth
keep silence before Hun.
*
EARLY BELOVED, it is meet and right,
as we learn from the Holy Scriptures,
that houses erected for the public wor-ship
of God should be especially set apart and
dedicated to religious uses. For such a dedica-tion
we are now assembled. With gratitude,
therefore, to Almighty God, who has signally
blessed His servants in their holy enterprise of
erecting this church, we dedicate it to His ser-vice.
And, as the dedication of the temple is
vain without the solemn consecration of the wor-shipers
also, let us now dedicate ourselves anew
to the service of God. To Him let our souls be
dedicated, that they may be renewed after the
image of Christ. To Him let our bodies be dedi-cated,
that they may be fit temples for the in-dwelling
of the Holy Spirit. To Him may our
labors and business be dedicated, that their fruit
may tend to the glory of His great Name, and
to the advancement of His Kingdom.
How amiable are Thy tabernacles, 0 Lord of Hosts! My soul longeth,
yea even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: My heart and my flesh cry out
for the Living God." Psalm 84 : 1 - 2.

| 3r0C£ 0Btintal — Hymn No. 163. ( The choir enters the church.)
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity !
Holy, holy, holy, all the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns upon the glassy sea;
Cherubim and Seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love and purity.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity! Reginald Heber.

( H a v i n g come to the door of t h e church, the p a s t o r of t h e church shall say:)
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
( As they enter the door, they shall say together:)
Peace be to this House.
( The congregation shall rise and say:)
Ayid to all that enter therein.
( T h e n moving slowly into the church, the following P s a lm No. 122 shall be said
r e s p o n s i v e l y by m i n i s t e r s and people.)
I was glad when they said unto me: Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Our feet shall stand within thy gates: O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
Whither the tribes go up.
The tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel,
To give thanks unto the Name of the Lord.
For there are set thrones of judgment.
The thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem;
They shall prosper that love thee.
Peace be within thy walls.
And prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions' sakes I will now say, Peace be
within thee.
Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen.
( H a v i n g come to the chancel, the m i n i s t e r s shall enter it, and shall place the
Holy Bible a n d the S a c r a m e n t a l Vessels.)
( T h e p a s t o r of t h e church, w i t h the Rev. J u l i u s Hulteen, D. D., at his r i g h t , and

I will go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy. 0 send out Thy
light and Thy truth: let them lead me: let them bring me unto Thy Holy
Hill, and to Thy tabernacles, that I may go unto the altar of God, unto
God my exceeding joy, and praise Thee, O God, my God.
O God, our Protector, behold, and look upon the face of Thine Anointed, Who
hath given Himself for the redemption of all, and grant that from the
rising of the sun to the going down thereof, Thy Name may be great
among the Gentiles, and that in every place, sacrifice and a pure offering
may be made unto Thy Name; through the same Jesus Christ, thy
Son, our Lord. Amen
( The C o n g r e g a t i o n shall now be s e a t e d .)

Comfort, comfort ye my people,
Speak ye peace, thus saith our God;
Comfort those who sit in darkness,
Mourning ' neath their sorrows' load.
Speak ye to Jerusalem
Of the peace that waits for them;
Tell her that her sins I cover,
And her warfare now is over.
Make ye straight what long was crooked,
Make the rougher places plain:
Let your hearts be true and humble,
As befits His Holy reign;
For the glory of the Lord
Now o'er earth is shed abroad,
And all flesh shall see the token
That His Word is never broken . John Olearius.

Here, in Thy Name, eternal God,
We build this earthly house for
Thee;
O choose it for Thy fixed abode,
And guard it from all error free.
Here, when Thy people seek Thy face,
And dying sinners pray to live,
Hear Thou in heaven, Thy dwelling-place,
And when Thou hearest, Lord, for-give.
Thy glory never hence depart;
Yet choose not, Lord, this house
alone;
Thy kingdom come to every heart;
In every bosom fix Thy throne.

For the Herald's voice is crying
In the desert far and near,
Bidding all men to repentance,
Since the kingdom now is here.
Oh, that warning cry obey,
Now prepare for God a way!
Let the valleys rise to meet Him,
And the hills bow down to greet Him.
Here, when Thy messengers proclaim
The blessed Gospel of Thy Son,
Still, by the power of Thy great
Name,
Be mighty signs and wonders done.
When children's voices raise the song,
Hosanna to the heavenly King,
Let heaven, with earth, the strain
prolong;
Hosanna let the angels sing.

Now thank we all our God, Oh! may this bounteous God,
With heart and hands and voices, Through all our life be near us,
Who wondrous things hath done, With ever joyful hearts,
In whom His earth rejoices; And blessed peace to cheer us;
Who from our mothers' arms And keep us in His grace,
Hath blessed us on our way And guide us when perplexed,
With countless gifts of love, And free us from all ills,
And still is ours to- day. In this world and the next.
All praise and thanks to God
The Father now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns
With them in highest heaven;

And shall be evermore.

Lord, dismiss us with Thy blessing, Thanks we give and adoration
Fill our hearts with joy and peace! For Thy gospel's joyful sound.
Let us each, Thy love possessing, May the fruits of Thy salvation
Triumph in redeeming grace. In our hearts and lives abound:
Oh! refresh us, May Thy presence
Traveling through this wilderness. With us evermore be found.
So, whene'er the signal's given
Us from earth to call away,
Borne on angels' wings to heaven,
Glad the summons to obey,
May we, ready,

Lord, with glowing heart I'd praise Praise, my soul, the God that sought
Thee thee,
For the bliss Thy love bestows, Wretched wanderer, far astray;
For the pardoning grace that saves Found thee lost, and kindly brought
me, thee
And the peace that from it flows. From the paths of death away.
Help, O God, my weak endeavor; Praise, with love's devoutest feeling,
This dull soul to rapture raise. Him who saw thy guilt- born fear,
Thou must light the flame, or never And the light of hope revealing,
Can my love be warmed to praise. Bade the blood- stained cross appear.
Lord, this bosom's ardent feeling
Vainly would my lips express:
Low before Thy footstool kneeling,
Deign Thy suppliant's prayer to bless.
Let Thy grace, my soul's chief treasure,
Love's pure flame within me raise:
And, since words can never measure,
Let my life show forth Thy praise. Francis Scott Key.

® n the ( glory
of
Jesus said to Peter,
I will build my church.
HE Scriptures teach us that God is well
i | L pleased with those who build temples to
His Name. We have heard how He filled
the temple of Solomon with His glory and how
in the second temple He manifested Himself
still more gloriously. And the Gospel approves
and commends the centurion who built a syna-gogue
for the people. Let us not doubt that He
will also favorably approve our purpose of dedi-cating
this place in solemn manner, for the per-formance
of the several offices of religious
worship and let us now devoutly join in praise
to His name, that this godly undertaking hath
been so far completed, and in prayer for His
further blessing upon all who have been engaged
therein, and upon all who hereafter worship His
name in this place.
