outside
is

clapboarding
and
is
painted
white
. A
well
designed

moulded
cornice
with
small
sawed
brackets
and
dentils
is
seen
. The
front
windows
are
finished
with
moulded
heads
, with
sawed
brackets
and
dentils
. The
house
is
set
close
to the
road
, with
large
trees
in the
yard
. The
present
owner
maintains
a
herd
of
American
bison
.
Doorway
Entrance
doorway
has
two
plain
pilasters
with a
very
pronounced
taper
. The
cornice
over
pilasters
has been
removed
. The
door
has
six
sunk
panels
and a
curved
transom
over
with
leaded
fan
.
Interior
There are
three
fireplaces
, the
kitchen
fireplace
having
a
Dutch
oven
and a
simple
mantel
.
Southeast
room
-
there
is
a
moulded
mantel
with
curved
frieze
and a
wide
casing
of
small
mouldings
around
open
, and a
single
small
cupboard
over
.
Northeast
room
has
early
19th
century
moulded
mantel
with a
small
cupboard
over
;
corner
posts
are
cased
.
Flush
panel
and
sunk
panel
doors
in the
first
story
.
Beaded
board
batten
doors
are in the
second
floor
. The
story
height
is
seven
feet
6
1/2
inches
.
