This
grand
old
house
is
well
preserved
,
having
come
down
in the
family
.
It
is
truly
a
museum
with its
well
preserved
paneling
and
old
fireplaces
,
etc.
, and the
best
example
of the
gambrel
two-and-one-half
story
house
in the
township
. The
house
faces
west
overlooking
the
Green
. There are
barns
and
sheds
at the
rear
;
easily
mistaken
for
dwellings
.
Cornice
overhang
about
8
".
Interior
The
inside
walls
of
all
rooms
are
paneled
;
paneled
wainscoting
in the
living
room
. The
dining
room
is
completely
paneled
on
all
four
sides
, the
only
example
found
in
Colchester
. The
stairs
have an
odd
sweep
in the
wainscotting
,
which
gracefully
curves
upward
with the
stairs
.
