Fenestration	New sash. 9 window front, 6/6 sash, paired. 5 window gable paired. Top window in each gable, large and pedimented. 1" muntins in ell, 12/8 sash. Gable sash 8/8. Pegged plank, beaded frames.

Foundation	Square stone blocks
Condition - Physical	Fair
Exterior	It was moved here from further south and the ell windows and pedimented door were evidently taken from the front at the same time. The door has interupted moulding; 1840 cornice. Plates protrude at gables, covered with a housing. Both plates and rafters protrude in ell. Original clapboards, all 3 1/2 - 4' long.
Interior	Four brick fireplaces; five foot vertical panel at side of fireplace in front room. Doors with H L hinges. Kitchen door with strap hinges. Featheredge boarding in rear room off kitchen. Porch has closed stringer stair, right to left, with 17" very elaborate turned balusters; square posts with balls on top; moulded rail. Plain stringer with applied mouldings. Half balusters at posts. Featheredge, papered over. Upper balusters much taller and irregular. Southwest room has round-topped cupboard in southeast corner; cross panels; glass in upper door. Panels two deep. Paneled wainscot. Upstairs room, southwest, has two pilasters with five wide flutes either side of immense super raised panels. Summer beam has paneled soffit. Opposite room has plain cased summer beam. Large fireplace. Paneling two deep; two above fireplace. Bold bolection moulding. Rear ell has smoke oven in garret; brick, 1 1/2" thick.
History	Known as "Watch House" it is said to have been used as such against Indian attacks. This story is of very doubtful authenticity.
