Condition - Physical	Excellent
Exterior	This house was built on the exact design of the John Hancock House in Boston. The two story pillars were erected about 1840 when the house was remodeled. Walls - clapboarded, boarded flush at front. Eaves - wide cornice.
Doorway	Very ornamental door, with round and elliptical panes and sidelights, each with one long pane and a round top.
Interior	Central hall with stairs at side, out of the hall. The hall is forty by twelve feet. Ten fireplaces. Paneled wainscoting under windows of first two floors. Very heavy doors, with vertical paneling.
History	Early owners: Burr, Jones, Forbes and Warner. Thaddeus Burr was on the Town Committee of War. Dorothy Quincy and John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, were married here, August 18, 1775 in the house of 1727 burned by the Brittish in 1779.
