It
is
a
large
house
in its
original
condition
except
for
porch
across
front
and an
apparent
change
in the
front
entrance
. The
exterior
is
not
outstanding
.
Interior
Bar-room
on the
first
floor
under
ballroom
.
Wooden
grill
over
the
counter
with
hand
wrought
hooks
which
held
it
open
when
swung
up
to the
bar
pantry
ceiling
.
Three
uncentered
panels
on
wall
under
counter
.
Unusual
ball
room
and
bar
in
excellent
original
condition
.
Mr
.
Hansen
, the
owner
says
careful
measured
drawings
have been
made
and are on
file
in the
State
Library
. There
is
a
small
fireplace
with
raised
stone
hearth
and
simple
paneling
above
. A
steep
narrow
stairs
in the
front
of the
chimney
lead
from
upper
front
hall
to
balcony
. The
balcony
on
other
side
reached
by
bridge
across
the
center
of the
room
.
Three
rows
of
bottle
necks
project
about
1
inch
through
plaster
ceiling
. The
center
now
has
four
bottles
and
two
outside
rows
,
six
bottles
each
. The
Modesty
Boards
are
six
inch
boards
fastened
to
inside
of the
rail
near
the
balcony
floor
.
Only
one
of the
original
wall
sconces
remain
, but
it
is
of a
delicate
and
interesting
design
.
