Authenticity	Restored and modernized.
Exterior	The house shows evidence of having been changed at an early date. There is a double sill under the well between the kitchen and the front rooms. Timber in roof frame had evidently been used before, indicating that the kitchen fireplace and dutch oven were built into an existing chimney. The house may have been originally a two room one-and-one-half story peaked roof structrure. The walls are clapboarded.
Interior	Carefully restored. Considerable old work uncovered and left exposed in its original condition. Exposed summer beams, posts and girts; posts are flared. The old kitchen fireplace with original oak lintel has chamfered edge and lamb's tongue; fireplaces in northeast and southeast rooms; fireplace in southwest room has a hidden dutch oven.
