pedestals
and have
moulded
bases
.
Two
heavy
beaded-board
pillars
,
out
from the
wall
of the
house
,
Ionic
,
support
a
pedimented
portico
which
projects

inches
from the
wall
, and
whose
peaked
roof
rises
above
eaves
of the
house
.
Soffit
of
portico
is
on
two
sunken
panels
;
frieze
is
16
inches
deep
,
moulded
;
cornices
at
rake
and
lower
member
of
pediment
supported
by
modillions
.
Interior
face
of
pediment
is
entirely
of
diamond
panes
.
Two
heavy
granite
stepping
stones
lead
to
door
.
Cornice
projects

inches
at
eaves
and
rake
;
projects

ft
. into
gable
, and
all
cornices
are
suported
by
modillion
brackets
.
Setting
-
house
faces
west
,
is
set

ft
. from the
main
road
and
fronted
with
good
lawn

cement
walk

path

maples
and
evergreens
surround
the
house

gable

cornice

denticulation

fine
leaf-shaped
brackets

six-inch
overhang
of
cornice

Above
cornice
is
a
four-pane
transom
,
similar
to
sidelights
,
recessed
in
beaded
frame
.
Outer
edge
of
frame
has
built-out
bead
and
fillet
course
which
is
also
applied
against
walls
of
door
recess
(entire
door
arrangement
recessed
about
ten
inches)
. On
outside
wall
, at
edge
of
recess
,
is
a
heavily
moulded
frame
with
detailed
floral
cornerblocks
and
elaborate
floral
keyblock
8
by
8
inches
.
Interior
The
interior
has
moulded
doorways
;
arches
are
supported
by
Ionic
posts
.
