Location	Turn east at Gales Ferry about 1/2 mile, then right 1/8 mile through woods to house, which faces east on a knoll.

Roof	Saltbox / added leanto 2 stories high
Chimney Type/No.of	Brick top / central / large; drip course
Height	Two stories and half
Ell	Ell and arcaded sheds to north.
Fenestration	7 window front, lower sash a trifle larger than upper - 6/9 sash. Four windows south, two north of door. 6/9 sash in 5 window gable (to south). On north gable, 1 window in peak, 3 on second floor, 1 and door on first floor.
Overhang	None
Foundation	Large fieldstone
Condition - Physical	Fair outside; good inside
Authenticity	Excellent
Exterior	Double eighteenth century mouldings; shallow box cornice.
Doorway	Projecting front entrance as in Massachusetts houses. Six raised-panel door with five light, wide muntin, transom over. Plain flat pilasters. Moulded cornice to close pediment portico (enclosde) [sic] ; rippled moulding to panel. Round door stone.
Interior	Southeast room - square; not large. Two doors at rear of four raised panels each. Moulded fireplace opening. One large super-raised panel over with shelf across it on base mould. Paneling two deep. Cornice moulding all around. Door to porch. Chair rail. Large encased corner posts. 10-12" pine floor boards. Kitchen - large block stone fireplace with high mantel; crane, but no oven visible - perhaps at left. Northeast room is small; has plain fireplace; door to porch of four panels, with beginning of rippled moulding.
