Location	Route 32, 1.1 mile north of Waterford line, back on hill about 250'. West side facing east.

Condition - Physical	Good
Exterior	Clapboarded walls.
Doorway	Large, six raised panel door, the two top small ones replaced with glass. Porch across the front.
Interior	Slightly altered for two families. No paneling or early boards. Closets beside fireplaces have raised two-panel doors. Hall has very early type staircase, with plain heavy square turned railing; with no spindles, and no paneling below it. Ell, south, plain mantel around the fireplace. Beaded edge batten doors. Ell, still further south, with slightly higher roof-line, contains a room wainscoted with raised panel boards, which are alleged to have come from the second building of the Montville Ecclesiastical Society. it is higher than the usual paneling of wainscots in houses.
History	The second ell - it was said to have been built just before the gold rush by a man who hurried through the work in order to join the 49'ers.
