hall
.
Both
doors
are
double

raised
paneled
and have
openings
for
bull's
eyes

door
has
two
strap
hinges
. A
small
hood
covers
each
door
.

House

doors
at
each
front
closed
by
bars
. The
stairs
run
up
straight
from the
north
front
along
the
east
wall
.
Raised
panel
wainscot
through
even
following
up
the
stairs
. The
stairs
themselves
are
open
stringer
. With
cut
out
scrolls
under
the
treads
;
heavy
square
newels
square
caps
gracefully
turned
balusters
. the
floor
boards
throughout
the
house
are
fairly
wide
.
Northeast
room
; has
stone
fireplace
with
brick
jambs
.
paneled
walls
.
Southeast
room
also has
brick
jambs
on the
fireplace
small
raised
panels
above
it
and
raised
panel
wainscot
In the
northwest
corner
a
squarish
corner
cupboard
brought
from the
General
David
Wooster
House
in
New
Haven
.

has
long
low
fireplace
without
mantel

Main
house

massive
and
splayed
no
other
cornerposts
visible
