The
house
is
said
to have been
built
in
three
operations
. The
main
house
has
every
indication
of
being
early
19th
century
. The
north
wing
,
claimed
by the
owner
to be
1735
, has
many
characteristics
of the
early
18th
century
.
Parts
of
it
are a
reconstructed
restoration
,
using
a
collection
of
old
material
.
Three
chimneys
,
two
brick
and
one
stone
;
brick
central
chimney
in
main
house
;
brick
central
chimney
in
wing
and a
stone
end
chimney
also in
wing
.
End
chimney
in
wing
has an
outside
facing
of
stone
on
lower
portion
and
projects
slightly
beyond
the
face
of the
north
wall
.
Walls
-
clapboarded
.
Cornice
-
moulded
and has a
dentil
course
. The
rakes
are
finished
with
plain
verge
boards
,
close
to the
wall
.
Doorway
Two
paneled
pilasters
, and a
simply
moulded
cornice
with
dentils
which
break
around
pilaster
heads
.
Interior

exposed
frame
of
hewn
oak
timbers
