Exterior	The house is said to have been built in three operations. The main house has every indication of being early 19th century. The north wing, claimed by the owner to be 1735, has many characteristics of the early 18th century. Parts of it are a reconstructed restoration, using a collection of old material. Three chimneys, two brick and one stone; brick central chimney in main house; brick central chimney in wing and a stone end chimney also in wing. End chimney in wing has an outside facing of stone on lower portion and projects slightly beyond the face of the north wall. Walls - clapboarded. Cornice - moulded and has a dentil course. The rakes are finished with plain verge boards, close to the wall.
Doorway	Two paneled pilasters, and a simply moulded cornice with dentils which break around pilaster heads.
Interior	Wing - exposed frame of hewn oak timbers. Large corner posts. Featheredge board doors. Wall of featheredge. Very large stone fireplace with a Dutch oven has an opening measuring 8' 2" x 4' 6"; oak lintel; simple wood mantel. Main house - small cased corner posts. Enclosed stairs in south end. Brick fireplaces with early 19th century mantels. Sunken paneled doors with complete mouldings on one side and flush panels on the reverse. Paneling appears only under the windows. Old wide board flooring.
