Condition - Physical	Good
Exterior	Walls - old clapboards showing old nails. Narrow, beaded cornerboards. Cornice - projects 10" at eaves and is narrow, beaded and moulded at rake. Porch - original pedimented proch 7' x 5' supported by round, Doric pillars; cornices are moulded and project 6"; under all cornices is a course of fine dentils. The soffit is flat, with old laths exposed. Setting - faces east 50' from road; good lawn at front; tall shade trees; very large barns across road and outbuildings to rear.
Doorway	Central; original sunken paneled door (double) with old latch; door recessed 5" encased in wide moulded frame; six-pane transom.
Interior	Splendid - unspoiled. Front right room - has elaborate carving. 7" deep carved course along ceiling; cornice along ceiling is moulded - fine course of dentils under; cornice is supported by modillions and has moulded frieze under these. A three foot wainscoting with fine raised panels; cornice over wainscoting is moulded and faced with shallow flutings. Mantel against rear wall has cornice supported by fluted pilasters and is faced with modified Greek Key; at bottom of cornice is a course of dentils and on frieze are spaced groups of five flutings separated by very shallow sunken wreaths. Single moulding around fireplace; above cornice is one panel projecting, but not raised, and edged with moulding. Six-raised paneled doors are set in wide moulded frames, topped with frieze, and carved with spaced groups of flutes, separated by shallow floral arrangement. Doors with L hinges. At corners are posts concealed by wainscoting below, fine fluted pilasters above with elaborate moulded capitals. Right rear room (northwest) - has fireplace edged with moulding and topped with two-raised paneled fireboard, which is edged with moulding and topped with moulded cornice against ceiling. Front left room (southeast) - has flush board wainscoting all around. Moulded along ceiling. Fine raised paneled doors with H and L hinges. Front right room (second floor) - has a fine mantel with raised panels; floral carving on frieze. Rear cornerposts are considerably splayed on second floor and the front cornerposts are heavy and slightly tapered. Ceilings throughout are well over 7'.
