DescriptionOn site view of construction looking east toward Lafayette and Washington Streets with the Supreme Court courtroom in the foreground. Men are laying bricks on what will be the front (north) side of the building. Workers are on the balcony level of the Library Reading Room. In the background, note the stairway off the balcony leading up to level 6. The large rectangular opening to the left of the stairs frames the big window on the east end of the balcony. Photo dated ca. July 4, 1909.
