Buildings and Structures
Connecticut's built environment ranges from 1600s homes through mills and factories to modern skyscrapers. This collection includes some of the thousands of photographs taken, and hundreds of documents written about them.
Important sub-collections include the WPA Architectural Survey or Census of Old Buildings, a Works Progress Administration (WPA) survey of nearly 5,000 buildings, and the Mills collection of photographer Lewis Sprague Mills. Other Mills photographs are in the Agriculture collection.
