What To Do If a PDF Does Not Display Correctly in the Image Viewer

The problem: a PDF will not load, or when it does, there are issues with the document appearance...

Your experience with PDF viewing may vary depending on your choice of
  • Browser maker
  • Browser version
  • Operating system
  • Device type
If you are having difficulty viewing a PDF, try opening it in Adobe Reader by clicking on the "Download" button (just above and to the right of the image frame). You will be given the option of "saving" the PDF or "opening" the PDF with another viewer. You should open the PDF with the current version of Adobe Reader.

If you do not have the current version of Adobe Reader, click here to download it.

The problem: a "File not found" message appears after clicking on the "Download" button...

This is the result of a software bug. Until the issue is resolved, clicking on "Print" and then "All" will download the file successfully (the document will open in your default PDF reader).

The problem: there is only a PDF icon in the viewer, no "Print" button to click on, and clicking on the link in the viewer doesn't seem to do anything...

Try this procedure:
  1. Click on the "Next" button located above the"Download" button.
  2. The "Print" button will appear now. Click on it. You may need to select "all" to continue.
  3. Wait for the document to load. This might take a while...
  4. When the document opens in the PDF print preview window, you have the option of viewing it as is, or from the PDF Viewer tool bar, printing or, depending on browser type, saving or downloading. If you select "save," you can open the saved file using Adobe Reader to view with full functionality. If the option is "Download," you will be able to view the document with Adobe Reader without having to save it first.

The problem: a PDF seems to freeze while loading

PDF's with many pages can take a considerable amount of time to load. Make sure that your browser version is up to date. If performance is still an issue, you might find more success using another browser.
